Software Sales Representative

MetaCommunications, software developer based in Iowa City, Iowa has an immediate opening for an experienced Account Executive. As a key member of our sales team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fun and fast paced environment with a growing company that is the best in its market. Our customers include graphics arts based businesses including prepress, advertising agencies, publishers, corporate creative, and marketing departments.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing and driving a consultative software sales process. We're looking for an aggressive sales performer to help us further penetrate our existing markets and introduce our solutions to new markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated consultative sales success and possess strong and verifiable closing skills
  • Have a high sense of urgency and a strong sense of commitment
  • Have the self-motivation and strong initiative required to learn a new industry and technology quickly
  • Demonstrate planning, time management, scheduling, and organizational excellence
  • Have a proven track record of selling products/services requiring complex, multi-level sales processes
  • Have a technical background with recent experience
  • Demonstrate a background in developing and building relationships with clients at mid and senior management levels by generating revenue where medium/long sales cycles are the norm
  • Develop strategies for new business development and manage a complex sales cycle by cold calling businesses in our core markets
  • Identify opportunities in new markets
  • Facilitate presentations virtually, using the telephone and WebEx presentation software; very little travel is required
